Yeah, but the bottom line is that name-dropping is cooler than not
name-dropping, especially in interviews and such.
So next time someone asks you for your influences, publicly, be sure to at
least mention Stockhausen or some obscure experimentalist to get the hip
intellectual points.
It's most likely that some artists survive entirely on hip intellectul points.
